dongerland in boddington gold mine- aka 'starlight 13'

I

hi there, cath speaking......(temporarily borrowing lior's world)

ever wanted to know what it feels like to be an ant, in an ant colony?
Thought about a job in the mining industry?
See the scenic surrounds of WA's newest mining camp - designed by architects (!) - built by WA's finest 22-yr-old's.

This is "starlight 13", or Boddington Gold mine's new workers camp. Its the new 24hr city, just south of Perth.
Where the fluro's stay on - all the time....

My latest trip to "the mines", to do the "safety" workshops - half of them had just been laid off, for the good of The Colony.
The second photo is what ladies lavatory graffiti is like down there - this building would be no more than 3 months old.
It's hard core -work hard, die working or get fired.
They don't get paid THAT much.

the "tavern"
It was so busy after diner i had to queue for a beer. Only $2.50 for anything from a Corona to VB. oh yeah.
